Summer Done Wright- Why do I need it?
When the warm sunny days return and the mud dries up, everyone gets excited to get back outside and pursue their favorite summer sports. Whether it be hiking, biking, climbing, or trail running, it always feels great to play hard in the nice weather. The long spring and summer days ramp up our energy levels and our desire for more intense outdoor activity increases. We tend to race out of the start gate with extra speed and excitement and in doing so, we can increase our potential for injury.
Taking the extra time during mud season to stay focused and work hard in the gym can have a huge positive impact on how your summer season will play out. Don't just jump into a sport that you haven't trained for all winter - slow down and get build your strength and endurance in the gym, while you sprinkle in some of those outdoor hiking, biking and running days. By the time the snow melts and the mud dries, you'll be ready to take off outside.

So what exactly is Summer Fit?
Summer Fit is an 8 week progressive series that focuses on full body strength (upper body, lower body and core) and has both aerobic and anaerobic components to get you into awesome shape.
Each day is different- some days are strength based and some have more cardiovascular activities built in, but the series keeps you consistently practicing a few key exercises that will help you move with more speed, intensity, and fluidity outdoors.
Practice Back Squats and chin ups one day and up your stamina game the next, with some Copenhagen endurance efforts. We begin with lower weights and intensities and gradually increase and ramp up the exercises over the course of the 8 weeks.
Whether you are new to a gym setting, a seasoned veteran, or coming back from an injury- we have exercises and programming for everyone.
